Common problems and solutions of co2 laser power supply

Power-on tripping

Check whether the external wiring AC is misconnected to FG and reconnect the correct wiring according to the label.

The fan on co2 laser power supply doesn’t run despite there is electrical input

Open the case to check if the fan is blocked by foreign bodies, or if the socket is not well connected. If the fan is broken, then replace it.

No light from the laser tube despite there is electrical input

Check if the connection of the terminal is correct and the contact of terminal is poor or not.

Check if the water protection switch is normal. If not, then restart the water circulation or replace the water protection switch.

Check if the laser control signal is normal. The voltage between H and G should be 5V when the laser works with high signal level; the voltage between L and G should be 0V when the laser works with low signal level. If the control signal is not normal, replace or reconnect the laser control card.

If there is no power control signal input, raise the power signal.

Constant lighting

The laser tube constant firing when it works with low signal level, check if there is a short circuit between L and G, and disconnect them. If the point-shooting switch is broken, replace it.

Low output current

Check if the AC input voltage is low or unstable.

Check if the power control signal of the control card is not well connected to the power supply IN.
Adjust the frequency or amplitude of PWM.

The laser head is chaotic while working, and sometimes no laser under working condition; the moving of laser head is abnormal when both laser heads working

Comprehensively check the grounding condition of the machine. The ground of the control card, the shell of the co2 laser power supply and the 5V of the swtich power supply to the control card should be connected to the shell of the laser machine reliably.

Description of laser power supply working condition:

POWER: Laser power on indicator (green light).

LASER: High-voltage output indicator (red light).

TEST: Laser power supply failure detection switch.

After the power supply is powered on, the power lamp will turn on, and the power supply is in standby state.

Announcements:

1.    The co2 laser tube must be water-cooled when working.

2.    No open circuit at high voltage output (The positive and negative end of laser tube and power supply must be correctly connected).

3.    There is discharge resistance added in the laser power supply, the residual voltage can generally be put out in 2 seconds when power is off. However, for the sake of safety, attention should still be paid to prevent electric shocks; (Both ends of high-voltage output must be suspended to meet the insulation safety requirements of 40KV high-voltage.)

If your CO2 laser power supply purchased from us breaks during the warranty period, please show relevant certificates, keep the factory label and product appearance intact and non-degraded, and contact our company for a warranty service.

Void warranty when:

1. Incorrect installation;

2. Incorrect voltage input;

3. Improper operation which doesn’t follow the demands on manual;

4. Maintenance or alteration not authorized by us
