Correct installation steps for the laser tube

1. When use, turn on the cooling water first so that the water flow circulates in the laser tube according to the principle that the cooling water inlet must follow from the positive to negative end of laser tube. Adjust the outlet tube position to ensure that it is full filled with the cooling water and there is no bubble in the tube, and then turn on the power supply. 


Requirement: Use soft water (distilled water or purified water) as cooling water, and always pay attention to the water temperature of the cooling water. The water temperature should be controlled between 15 °C and 30 °C, and should not be too high or too low. Especially in the summer, once the water temperature is too high, it is necessary to replace the cooling water in time or stop the machine for a period of time; in cold areas, ensure that the cooling water can not freeze, especially after the laser machine is stopped, make sure that there is no cooling water stored in the laser tube in case cooling water froze and causes the laser tube to burst.


Special Note: For users who use AC power, the cooling water tank must be grounded.


2. The two support points of the laser tube should be at the point of 1/4 of the total length of the laser tube. The flow rate of cooling water should be controlled at 2L-7L/min. If the cooling effect is not good, it will cause the laser mode hopping. The laser spot change will cause the laser tube power to drop. The cooling water return port (outlet) must be flooded in the water tank, otherwise it will cause laser tube is not full filled with cooling water, when machine is turned off or turned on.


3. Pay attention to protect the output window lens of the laser tube to avoid the sputtering of smoke generated during the working process (including adjusting optical path) to the surface of the output window lens. If the windown lens outer surface is contaminated, it will cause the laser tube power decreased. At this time, use absorbent cotton or silk cloth with anhydrous alcohol to wipe the surface of the window lens gently.


4. During the debugging process, to achieve the best working performance by adjusting the laser support point or rotating the co2 laser tube, and then fix the laser tube by tube holder.


5. Please be careful to avoid dust accumulation near the high voltage electrode, keep the high voltage electrode dry, and keep the high voltage end away from the metal as much as possible to prevent high voltage ignition.


6. During the use of the laser tube, it is necessary to prevent scale formation in the water-cooled tube, which will cause the water-cooled tube to be blocked and the heat dissipation effect to be deteriorated. Once found, the water-cooled tube can be cleaned with 20% dilute hydrochloric acid to remove scale.


7. Laser tube is glass which is fragile. Avoid excessive local stress when install and use.


8. Rationalize the use of laser tubes to save laser energy. The optimal working current of the co2 laser tube is 16 mA.
